Patrick De Gabrielle

Patrick was born in Dublin, Ireland and grew up on a traveling show called “The Shannon Players” a drama and variety troupe He came to Canada with a band from Ireland in the 70s. as lead guitarist and singer.  He lived in Edmonton for many years and was a regular on CKUS’s Celtic Show with Andy Donnelly. While in Edmonton he studied Classical guitar with Master guitarist Carl Lotzberg. U of E conservatory. Then he moved to Lethbridge for about 10 years, and studied guitar with Master Dale Ketchison U of L  conservatory.  He was a prize winner in the North West Guitar Festival classical guitar competition over 25 years ago. When in Lethbridge He formed the duo Celtic Reflections with his then partner Patricia. Since then, he has become proficient in mandolin, fiddle, tin whistles, keyboards and most recently, Celtic Harp. He is versed in many genres including Celtic, classical, jazz and world music. He moved here to Sooke about 20 years ago and is proud to call it home and continues to perform, compose and teach.
