Burke Robert Rosen has been performing for audiences since age 13. (He is considerably older than that now). Throughout his teens and young adult years, he played in folk bands in Winnipeg. He moved to Victoria in ’84, and was a member of the local (Juno nominated) band Sunyata.
When the first of his two sons was born in ‘92, he took a day job and quit the band, but he never stopped playing music.
In 2011, Burke began performing again at public venues, first with Ozmoses, the EVS Trio, then with One Wheel, and more recently as Gravitation with Bill Hamilton, Brad Hawkes and Eric James.
Burke plays acoustic guitars. His vocal style is folk and blues. You can find samplings of Burke’s recordings on his YouTube channel.
